Fishersville Shooting Suspect Denied Bond

Suspect Charged in Skyline Motel Shooting

A judge has denied bond to the suspect in a Fishersville shooting. Jerad Ross, 22, of Maryland faces three felony charges, including attempted murder.

He is accused of shooting a 47-year-old man last Thursday outside the Skyline Motel. Deputies arrested Ross two hours later in a nearby wooded area.

During a brief hearing in Augusta County General District Court Tuesday afternoon, Ross told a judge he'll hire his own attorney. His preliminary hearing is set for August 21.
