Charlottesville Teen Competes in Usher Remix Contest
Thursday, a Walton Middle School seventh grade student is one step closer to grooving his way to a top spot in a national music competition.
It's called the Usher Remix Contest, where participants remix his latest song – "Climax" – for a chance to meet him. But 13-year-old Collin Adams from Charlottesville took it a step further. He mixed the song and did a YouTube video dancing to it.
There are thousands of entries in the online contest, but as of Thursday evening Collin was in 14th place. "I've always been into music. I love music so much. It's a good way to express how you feel about the music." he said.
Voting ends on Monday, June 4 at 5 p.m. Click here to watch Collin's video and click here to vote online.
