A Waynesboro school field trip ended Wednesday night with several students suspended and a parent kicked off a charter bus.
The trip took sixth grade students from Kate Collins Middle School to Washington D.C. A school board member who was on the bus says a handful of students were unruly and throwing food, and were being encouraged by a parent chaperone.
The charter bus driver reportedly stopped in Shenandoah County and ordered the parent off the bus.
The Waynesboro superintendent says less than five students were suspended.
