Folks in Louisa County lined up Thursday morning to be the first to experience the new Sheetz. The store held a ribbon cutting ceremony at its new location in Zion Crossroads.
There were plenty of people in line just waiting for Sheetz to officially open. The first 50 customers received a $100 gift certificate.
The new location is slated to offer 40 to 45 new jobs and a $3.5 million investment into the area.
Before Thursday's ceremony, Sheetz presented a $2,500 sponsorship check to Special Olympics.
This is part of a major expansion to open 32 Sheetz stores across the country in 2012.
