Republican Senate candidate George Allen's wife, Susan Allen, spent a good part of her day stumping in central Virginia.
Allen made stops in Greene, Orange, and Albemarle counties. She had a campaign lunch at Blue Ridge Cafe in Ruckersville, and took a tour of several small businesses nearby.
Allen says she and her husband are focused on their campaign's future.
"George is really hoping to win the primary and win it big so that he can move forward to November - a really, really important election. We really feel that there will be distinct differences between George's record and view of the future versus that of his opponent," said Allen.
Virginia's Republican Senate primary election is on June 12. Former Governor Tim Kaine will face off against whichever Republican wins the primary for the general election on November 6.
