Rodney Leavell, 26
A Culpeper man is facing 13 charges after leading deputies on a chase Sunday night. The Culpeper Sheriff's Office says a deputy walked up to a parked Chevy pickup truck near Alanthus Road and Route 29 around 11:40 Sunday night.
As the deputy came close to the truck, the driver, 26-year-old Rodney Leavell, sped away.
Deputies used road spikes to blow out the trucks tires ending the chase. When Leavell wouldn't leave the truck, he was tasered.
A passenger wanted to get out of the truck but Leavell wouldn't let her out.
He's charged with felonies for driving without a license, eluding police, abduction, and 10 other misdemeanors including driving under the influence. He's being held without bond.
