Children at the Charlottesville Cooking School spent Mother's Day "treating" mom. They gave their mothers a little break from the kitchen by baking cookies and pastries for them.
Chocolate chip scones, macaroons, and crème puffs were all a part of the menu. At the end of the class families got to enjoy the treats with a nice cup of tea.
Saskia Santen of the Charlottesville Cooking School said, "It's been very successful. Like I said, it's the fourth year that we've been doing this and we find that parent child classes are very popular here at Charlottesville Cooking School."
Children ages seven and up participated in the event. The Mother's Day baking class was sold out.
