The UVA men's and women's lacrosse teams play in the NCAA tournament on Sunday.
The Wahoo women are on the road at Duke, while the Cavalier men will be at home against Princeton for a one o'clock start.
Virginia is the 5-seed in the tournament, and has a record of 11-3.
Princeton is 11-4 and got an automatic birth in the tournament for winning the Ivy League.
UVA head coach Dom Starsia says, "This is a very aggressive offense lacrosse team. They remind me of a very good, jump-shooting team in basketball. They probably have the best range ion the game, from 12-15 yards. They're not afraid to pull the trigger, and let it fly. I think there's going to be more goals scored on Sunday than people might anticipate."
Sunday will be the final game at Klockner Stadium for seniors like midfielder Colin Briggs.
"It's the best venue in the country to play in, and I've had the opportunity to play here for my entire career," says Briggs. "I really want to finish off my career with a high note, and a great memory at Klockner."
Starsia says, "We kind of feel like we haven't given our fans enough to cheer about this year. It's been an unusual game, for us to have lost a couple games at Klockner, and we'd certainly like to turn that around if we can."
