A month-long music festival is coming to an end this weekend in Charlottesville but not before going out with a bang.
The Tom Tom Festival started April 13 on Founder's Day and through the past month, they have had a series of events focused on music art and innovation.
Now things are wrapping up but the finale event the weekend-long music festival is just beginning. It will feature two days and nights of concerts at multiple venues on Charlottesville's downtown mall.
The festival founder Paul Beyer says this event has now come full circle.
Beyer said, "It's incredibly exciting because the whole month of events has transpired to get us up to this final music weekend and we're just hoping people show up and have a great time see a lot of amazing music and venues you don't expect to see."
Usually large-scale festivals like these tend to lose money in their first few years but Tom Tom has been quite a success and organizers say it will be even bigger next year.
