The man accused of trying to burn down the McCormick Observatory will have his case go to a grand jury.
Thursday Joseph Duva had a preliminary hearing in Albemarle County General District Court. Testimony revealed that investigators found a total of 33 matches at the scene and burned paper.
Prosecutors say the paper was an application and had Duva's fingerprints on it. The grand jury will hear the case in June. Duva remains behind bars at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.
