Western Bypass Bids Due

Wednesday is the deadline to submit financial bids for the Western Bypass. Seven construction firms indicate they want to build the project. They have until 4 p.m. to get those bids in.

The Virginia Department of Transportation estimates construction on the 6.2 mile long road to cost about $244-million.

The financial bids will be opened in Richmond on Friday.
