Coaches at a cheerleading club in Waynesboro say "blood, sweat and tears" have taken them to an international level.
The senior team at Elevations All-Stars recently came away from a pair of recent performances with rankings of second in the nation and eighth in the world.
The club's other teams have also earned high-level awards. Many of the members have been working together for only a matter of months.
"They learn so much here," said Elevations All-Stars owner and coach Jennifer Cooper. "They learn how to be a good teammate, they learn how to persevere through problems together. They learn how to just, all around, be a better person. And that's one of the best things, seeing the growth in each athlete, just blows my mind every day."
The senior team - known as Inspire - rose above hundreds of other clubs for the international ranking. Elevations All-Stars members are as young as age four, and go through high school.
