Accident on Interstate 64 near Ivy Exit

Rescue crews responded to an overturned car on Interstate 64 westbound at mile marker 114 near the Ivy exit. The incident happened Wednesday shortly before noon.

Police say the vehicle hit a piece of tire in the road, lost control and flipped. There are no reported injuries.

The shoulder of the road was closed, but all lanes remained open. Fire crews arrived on the scene to clear out the wreckage.
