UVa Basketball Gets South Carolina Transfer Anthony Gill

UVa head basketball coach Tony Bennett has received confirmation that University of South Carolina forward Anthony Gill will transfer to Virginia, according to Cavscorner.com

Gill visited Ohio State just over a week ago but chose UVa over the Buckeyes.

Gill will have to sit out a year and will be eligible to play for the 'Hoos in 2013-2104.

Last year as a freshman at South Carolina, Gill started 26 of 31 games, averaging 7.6 points and 4.7 rebounds.

He is 6'8", 235 pounds.

Gill decided to transfer from South Carolina after USC head coach Darin Horn was fired after this past season.
