Police have released new information regarding the search for an alleged gunman.
Officers have been on the hunt for 26-year-old Samuel Bridge since police say he shot and wounded a man early Tuesday morning at the Quadrangle Apartments in Waynesboro.
Now, police are also looking for 24-year-old Ashley Nicole Knight. They believe she is traveling with Bridge and was behind the wheel of a car that almost hit an officer Wednesday night.
Police have since recovered two cars connected to Bridge, including the vehicle that almost hit the officer.
Waynesboro police say investigators found a Ford Focus that they believe Bridge sped away in just after the shooting early Tuesday morning. New Market police found the Ford Mustang they say narrowly missed an investigator as it sped away Wednesday.
At last word, the victim, 37-year-old Jeremiah Woodson, is listed in critical, but stable condition at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
Police warn Bridge should be considered armed and dangerous.
