Mary Baldwin College Anonymous Donor Revealed

The anonymous donor who is helping Mary Baldwin College built a health-sciences campus has finally been revealed.

Bertie Murphy Deming Smith wrote a $15 million check that is footing most of the bill for the school that is about to go under construction.

Smith is a Mary Baldwin alum who lives in Louisiana, but visited the 30-acre site in Fishersville Thursday afternoon.

The Murphy Deming School of Health Services will open in about two years.
