Charlottesville police have arrested a man in connection with a vandalism spree in the Fry's Spring area.
Joseph Edward Duva, 20, is being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail. Police say he used a BB gun to shoot out the windows of two vehicles early Saturday.
They have been on the look out for a vandal since last November after 12 similar incidents. Officers say they do not have any evidence to connect Duva to any vandalism prior to March 8.

The Frys Springs neighborhood has been plagued by a string of vandalisms over a number of months. From November 2011 to March 8th, 2012, there were twelve separate incidents of windows being shot out with a BB gun. In nine of these incidents vehicle windows were shot; one incident was the window of a residence; and the other two incidents were a school and a church.
In the early morning hours of Saturday March 10th, Charlottesville Police arrested a subject for shooting out the windows of two vehicles with a BB gun. These two vandalisms occurred within an hour of the arrest.

Please note that Mr. Duva has not been charged with any of the incidents prior to March 8th, nor do we have evidence to connect him to any of them.
Duva is being held without bond at the Charlottesville/Albemarle Regional Complex.
