The autopsy results are back on the man killed in Charlottesville's first murder of the year. The medical examiner's office says Robert "Eddie" Snead died of sharp force injuries to the neck. New court documents show the suspect, 47-year-old Wanda Turner, confessed to her roommate about the crime Saturday night.

Snead was found by a co-worker, Robert Kidd, Monday morning in an apartment on Fairway Avenue. New search warrants detail a bloody scene with Snead found laying on his back, "covered in blood with a large amount of blood around his body."

The search warrant also details a possible struggle between Snead and the suspect with blood in multiple areas of the apartment including a lamp shade on the ground, pillows on the floor, and a broken window. Inside the apartment police seized 21 items, including two pieces of a statuette.

Kidd told investigators that Snead had problems in the past with a woman named Wanda who used to live down the street from him. Kidd added that Snead told him she "recently showed up asking for money."

The search warrant also detailed information provided by Karen Nash, Turner's roommate, who made a call to 911. According to Nash, Turner was out with Snead all Saturday.  Nash stated that Turner returned home around 11:00 Saturday night and told her she "snapped" and "started sticking Mr. Snead in the neck and there was blood everywhere."  Nash added that Turner told her "she believed he was gone."

Nash also said Turner told her she had gotten rid "of some things on the way home and needed to get rid of some more things." Nash said Turner left in the morning and told her to take care of Turner's son. She was arrested on Monday in Norfolk, Virginia and is charged with one count of second-degree murder.

Turner is due back in court in May. She is being held at the Albemarle Charlottesville Regional Jail.
