Charlottesville police say they have arrested a suspect in connection with Monday's homicide investigation.

The suspect, 47-year-old Wanda Maria Turner, was arrested Monday night in Norfolk, Virginia and charged with the murder of 51-year-old Robert "Eddie" Snead. Captain Pleasants with the Charlottesville Police Department says more charges are pending against Turner after talking with the commonwealth attorney's office. Police do not have a motive at this point.

Snead was found dead Monday morning by a co-worker. Police say he was the victim of a "violent crime."

"It's just horrible you know.  I mean dying is one thing,  but being murdered on top of it.  It's just a nightmare," said Brian Coalson, Snead's brother-in-law.

Tuesday, Coalson spoke out about the man he knew for 20 years. He says "Eddie" was not just some guy who lived alone and died in his house - he was so much more. "Eddie never met a stranger.  He was the most likeable guy you ever met in your life," said Coalson.

Investigators say Turner purchased a bus ticket to Norfolk - where her sister lives - on Sunday. Charlottesville detectives are transporting Turner back to Charlottesville Tuesday. They also say Turner and Snead were acquaintances and used to live near each other.

As of Tuesday morning, police have not released a cause or manner of death. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

Charlottesville police spent the morning collecting evidence from a dumpster on Middlesex Dr, near Turner's residence - 116A Middlesex Dr. Police wont say if a murder weapon was found in the dumpster; however they pulled a number of items out - including a statue - bagged them up and took them with them.

A bond hearing will likely be on Thursday.
