IRC Director Speaks About "The Changing Faces of Charlottesville"
A presentation Tuesday afternoon specifically focused on how refugees contribute to the fabric of the community.
Harriet Kuhr, the director of the International Rescue Committee (IRC), spoke to a crowd at city hall Tuesday afternoon. The IRC is a resettlement organization that Kuhr says offers refugees from around the world a second chance at life in places like Charlottesville.
"We really do have the ability to integrate people into all aspects of our lives, into our churches, schools and our community," stated Kuhr.
This lecture is part of a series to celebrate Charlottesville's 250th birthday.
