Taste of Monticello Wine Trail Festival Details

Charlottesville is set to celebrate Virginia vineyards with an event this spring.  The Taste of Monticello Wine Trail Festival will happen Saturday, April 21 from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the nTelos Wireless Pavilion. 

Special VIP entry is from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.  Tickets go on sale March 3 at 10:00 a.m. - click here to buy tickets and for more information.

Prices for the festival are as follows:

  • $29 - Advance   
  • $35 – Day of Event  
  • $75 - VIP
  • $25 - VIP Designated Driver ticket
  • $10 - Designated Driver ticket
  • $10 - Ages 13-20
  • (Kids 12 and under – FREE)

There will be 21 wineries on hand, pouring what they have to offer.  Guests will be able to sample over 90 wines from the following vineyards:

  • DelFosse Vineyards & Winery
  • First Colony Winery
  • Flying Fox Vineyard
  • Glass House Winery

  • Kilaurwen Winery
  • King Family Vineyards
  • Lovingston Winery
  • Mountfair Vineyards
  • Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards
  • Prince Michel Vineyards & Winery

  • Trump Winery
  • Veritas Vineyard & Winery
  • White Hall Vineyards
  • Virginia Wineworks/Michael Shaps Wine

Special VIP packages include parking, early access to the festival VIP area, exclusive catered lunch provided by C&O Restaurant, opportunity to sample select wines not available to general public and a chance to mingle with winemakers.

In addition to many participating vineyards, Taste of Monticello Wine Trail will feature an array of non-wine vendors offering products ranging from jewelry to produce, fine cheeses, and baked goods.  Food vendors include Whole Foods Market, Pantheon Popsicles, and more.  Blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged, as there will be designated areas for picnicking.  

Vineyards and vendors are subject to change.  Proceeds benefit Jeffersonian Wine Grape Grower's Society.
