#6 UVA Women's Lacrosse Beats Richmond 12-9

The #6 Virginia women's lacrosse team used a six-goal run to take the lead in the first half, and held on to beat Richmond 12-9 Wednesday afternoon at Klockner Stadium.

Josie Owen, Liza Blue, Charlie Finnigan, and Jess Loizeaux each scored two goals for UVA.

Junior goalkeeper Kim Kolarik finished with eight saves.

Virginia (2-0) will be back in action Sunday at noon against Syracuse.
