The Buckeyes won the doubles point to go up 1-0, and Devin McCarthy beat Justin Shane 7-6 (7-3), 6-0 in #5 singles to give them a 2-0 lead.

Senior co-captain Drew Courtney won his #4 singles match 7-6 (7-5), 7-5 to draw Virginia within one.

Top-ranked freshman Mitchell Frank fell 7-5, 7-6 (8-6) in #3 singles, and Alex Domijan lost 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 in #2 singles to clinch the match for Ohio State.

Both Jarmere Jenkins and Julen Uriguen were leading in the third set of their matches when the Buckeyes clinched the victory.

Virginia returns to conference play next weekend, as the Cavaliers play at Virginia Tech Sunday at 1pm.
