Charlottesville Police Investigate Corner Armed Robbery

Charlottesville police are searching for an armed robber who held up a University of Virginia student on the corner.

The incident happened around 1:15 Saturday morning near the Bank of America on University Avenue. Police say a 19-year-old male student had just gotten money from the ATM when he was approached by a guy with a handgun. The robber took off with his wallet.

The victim was not injured. If you know anything that can help investigators, call Crimestoppers at 434-977-4000.
