JMU Men Fall at Home to Georgia State 67-64

The JMU men's basketball team lost to Georgia State 67-64 Tuesday night in CAA play at the Convocation Center in Harrisonburg.

The Dukes have lost six of seven overall and three in a row at home to fall to 11-17 overall, 4-12 in the CAA this season.

The Panthers (18-9, 10-6 CAA) swept the season series, making 21-of-24 free throws. JMU made 6-of-11 from the charity stripe.

Junior Andrey Semenov led Madison, matching his season-high with 22 points (including six three-pointers) and pulling down a team-high six rebounds.

Junior A.J. Davis had 20 points, five assists, five rebounds, and three steals in the loss.

Junior guard Devon Moore added eight points and five assists for the Dukes.

JMU trailed 35-27 at half, but an 11-0 run spanning both halves tied the game at 35 with 16:47 left.

The Dukes return to action Saturday afternoon at 2:00. Madison plays at Detroit of the Horizon League in a non-conference BracketBusters game.
