Rivalries were put aside Friday as students from across Central Virginia joined forces at Monticello High School in song. Leading high school performers made sure their pipes were on pitch and ready to go for the All District Chorus Concert.
In light of the recent conflict on the court between the Monticello and Charlottesville High School basketball teams, some students say its nice to put aside their differences in song.
Monticello High School Student, Emily Gardiner says, "In a sense I think that music in general, especially people who love it--no matter who you are. I mean something like this lets everybody share music.
The All District Chorus Concert will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Monticello High School.
A select few students will move on to the All-State competition in Lynchburg this April.
