The Virginia Tech men's basketball team beat Clemson 67-65 Saturday at Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburg.
The Hokies improve to 13-10 overall, 2-6 in the ACC, with their second win in nine games, snapping a four-game home losing streak.
Tech led 23-7 in the first half and by as many as 17 points, 42-28 at the break, and still by 14 points, 64-50, with 5:57 left in the second half, but the Tigers outscored the Hokies 15-3 the rest of the way and almost tied the game at end of regulation, but Tanner Smith's short baseline jumper missed as time expired.
Sophomore Jarell Eddie led Virginia Tech with 15 points and pulled down six rebounds.
Freshman Dorian Finney-Smith scored in double figures for the first time since December 19th with 12 points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
Junior Erick Green added then points in the win.
Virginia Tech returns to action Thursday night. The Hokies play at Miami at 9:00 in a game ESPN2 will televise.
