To celebrate 250 years of Charlottesville history, a photographer is showing off his work from another monumental anniversary for the city.
Ed Roseberry snapped shots of Charlottesville bicentennial festivities back in 1962. Those are now proudly on display at the Charlottesville Albemarle Historical Society. Friday, Roseberry was ready to meet and greet those admiring his pictures.
"I think it's important because they get an idea of what can be done doing a centennial-type celebration, and see what kind of fun people had back then and what they can hope for today," said Roseberry.
He says he hopes spectators will get a glimpse of what people looked like and did for fun when the city celebrated its 200th anniversary. He is 87 years old and says he is lucky to live to see another big milestone for Charlottesville.
