'Hoos Head South for Big Game at Florida State Saturday

Tony Bennett's basketball team plays its biggest game of the season Saturday. The 'Hoos battle at Florida State Saturday at one o'clock in a game you can see on NBC29.

The Seminoles are tied for first place in the ACC at 6-1.   Virginia is just a game behind at 5-2. Florida state has won six in a row.  The Seminoles are led by junior Michael Snaer averaging 14 points per game.  Florida state has wins this season over both North Carolina and Duke.  FSU blew out the Tar Heels by 33 in Tallahassee and then won at Duke on this buzzer beater. The Seminoles are also won of the ACC's toughest defensive teams.

UVA guard, Jontel Evans says, "We're just looking forward to the challenge, they're a big team, they're great on defense and they're hot right now. They're confidence is at an all-time high right now but we just have to go in there and do what we are capable of doing and hopefully come out with a victory."

Florida State head coach, Leonard Hamilton says, "Our guys are playing with a lot of pride and a lot of focus. We're learning how to make the extra pass, we're sharing the ball, the guys are playing unselfish. The best part about this team is there is a lot of room for improvement."
