Albemarle County supervisors may soon expand the red light camera program.
Wednesday, the board got an update on the red light camera already installed at the intersection of Route 29 and Rio Road. The county has pulled in about $87,000 in cash.
Supervisors will continue to keep it, and would like to explore putting one at the intersection of Route 250 and Route 20 on Pantops Mountain.
Data about other potential sites will be brought back to supervisors at a later meeting.
