The Fluvanna County boys basketball team beat Western Albemarle Tuesday night 49-45 to capture sole possession of first place in the Jefferson District.

Fluvanna got a game high 21 points from YaYa Anderson. Western got 13 points each from Parker Morris and Ben Turner in the loss.

Fluvanna improves to 7-1 in the JD, Western drops to 6-2.
