The Cavaliers got a game high 23 points and 10 rebounds from Mike Scott, and Joe Harris had a season high 19 points helping Virginia beat Clemson 65-61.   The 'Hoos improve to 5-2 in the ACC.

Virginia trailed by 4 at halftime but went on a 19-3 run early in the second half and never trailed after that.   The 'Hoos shot 56 percent from the field.  Virginia is now 15-0 this season when shooting 40 percent or better.  Harris made 5 of 6 three pointers.

Harris said,  "I was getting room and rhythm looks and kept my eyes on the basket.  When I got my opportunity to get a clean look I was letting it go.

Scott said, " They were double teaming me so I hit Akil, I hit Malcolm, I'm finding my teammates when they double team me and if they're not, I'm just playing my game.

Virginia is now 18-3 overall.  That's the Cavalier's best start since going 27-3 to open the 1982-83 season.

Virginia's next game is at Florida State Saturday at 1pm.  FSU is tied for first place in the ACC with a record of 6-1.  You can see that game on NBC29 Saturday afternoon.
