Plans for a new dam at Ragged Mountain are moving forward. Tuesday, the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority Board of Directors accepted the cost share agreement and land use agreement to build an earthen dam.
A third contingency, not yet completed, is the approval of proposed improvements by the Virginia Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration to the Interstate 64 embankment.
The board also moved forward with getting bids to dredge the South Fork Reservoir. That work should not exceed $3.5 million.
