JMU Snaps 5 Game CAA Losing Skid, Beats UNCW 69-61

The JMU men's basketball team got a career high 27 points from senior guard Humpty Hitchens and got a big road win in the CAA beating UNC-Wilmington 69-61. JMU used a 9-0 run in the final 5 minutes to pull away.

Hitchens scored 17 of his 27 points in the first half. JMU led by 3 at halftime. The Dukes also got 18 points from A.J. Davis and 14 points from Enoch Hood.

The Dukes improve to 2-5 in the CAA, 9-9 overall. JMU is at home Saturday to host Hofstra at 4pm.
