Melampy Suffers Pulmonary Embolism

A former Charlottesville Circuit Court clerk candidate is in the hospital Monday. Pam Melampy is listed in critical condition after suffering an apparent pulmonary embolism.

She was hospitalized sometime Sunday and is now listed in critical condition at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

Melampy is a long time courts employee, spending more than two decades in Charlottesville and Albemarle. She ran for Charlottesville Circuit Court clerk last year.
