2 Alleged Gang Members Charged with Assaulting Police Officer

Two alleged gang members have been charged in Albemarle County after police say they assaulted an officer.

Police say 23-year-old Becael Castillo Hernandez and 18-year-old Joshua David Aragon Pena were arrested on New Year's Day after a disorder in the Southwood mobile home community. They both face one charge of assault on a law enforcement officer.

Investigators say the officer was assaulted when they tried to arrest the pair.
