Halfaday Election Fraud Case Continued

Posted: Updated:

The case against a former Charlottesville City Council candidate accused of election fraud has been continued.

James Halfaday was supposed to be in Charlottesville General District Court Thursday, but the commonwealth's attorney office says that the case has been postponed.

Halfaday is facing four felony charges of election fraud. Prosecutors say Halfaday used a false address when he certified his candidacy for city council with the voter registrar.

A new court date hasn't been set at this point.
