JADE Drug Bust in Greene & Buckingham

Posted: Updated:

Police officers made a major drug bust in Greene and Buckingham counties overnight.  The Jefferson Area Drug Enforcement (JADE) Task Force says officers collected 200 pounds of marijuana and 300 grams of cocaine.

Lieutenant Donald Campbell with the JADE Task Force said, "It was a nice bust for us.  It was more than usual.  We felt it was a success because we got somebody off the street who had been convicted earlier of the same charge."

Police also collected a number of firearms from both locations.

Paul Wendell Williams, 42 years old, is facing a number of charges including possession with intent to distribute.  Williams is being held at the Central Virginia Regional Jail.
