Man Arrested in Connection with Two Charlottesville Robberies

Charlottesville police have made an arrest in connection with a pair of robberies that happened Wednesday night.

In both cases, police say 23-year-old Javanta Arthur Anderson approached the victim, pulled out a gun and demanded money.  He is charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.  

The first incident happened at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday along the 700 block of Cherry Avenue.  The second happened about a half hour later and just down the street along the 700 block of Prospect Avenue.
