Some Virginia Tech vandals left their mark on University of Virginia grounds overnight after their blowout win over the ‘Hoos. Sunday morning, fans noticed something different about Thomas Jefferson's statue by the rotunda.
Jefferson was found sporting a brand new Virginia Tech t-shirt, courtesy of late night pranksters. But, unlike some Hokies, the prank doesn't sit completely well with Joe Wolf , a Virginia Tech alum.
"It's kind of funny, but it's in poor taste," he said. Wolf added that it was not something he would have done.
The lighthearted prank is just one of the few minor incidents following Saturday's defeat. Charlottesville police say the heavy traffic posed the biggest issue of the day, but no serious problems or bad behavior were reported.
