A local artist is documenting the people and places that make the Belmont neighborhood unique. The Monticello Road community art project is a yearlong effort to provide an artistic glimpse into the historic neighborhood.
Now through April, artist Peter Krebs is photographing and documenting everything he can along Monticello Road. He says what started as an afternoon activity has quickly developed into a full-fledged exhibit.
"My purpose is what is here today? What is here now? And what are people up to today. And the history is one of the currents that feeds that and makes is so interesting," said Krebs.
The exhibit will debut in April 2012, featuring storytelling, music, film, and photos. For more information on Krebs' work, click here.
