There are new developments in the case of a multi-car crash that left a driver and a Charlottesville police officer injured Monday. Police have charged 47-year-old Fitzgerald K. Wise with reckless driving.
Police say he was behind the wheel of a white Hyundai that crashed into two cars at West Main Street and Ridge / McIntire. Police say the driver then backed into a police car and hit a utility pole.
Both the officer and driver were treated for non-life threatening injuries at the University of Virginia Medical Center and later released.
