The homeowners of a historic home on Park Street were told they cannot paint their brick for the second time. Presenters Monday night said the rules are clear and simple - you cannot paint any masonry on a home in a historic district.
The couple appealed the Board of Architectural Review's unanimous decision to deny the request. The homeowners said they just wanted to make it look better.
"I understand their decision, but its part of the politics, and just, we went along with process and that's where we stand," said Park Street homeowner Blakey Greenhalgh.
This is only the fourth time in the past eight years that a BAR decision has been contested. The Greenhalghs could appeal the decision again and bring the city to circuit court, but they said they're done with the process.
