A number of pounds of drugs, several guns and money are all off the street following a Greene County drug investigation.

Thirty-year-old Floyde Dwayne Shifflett has been arrested and is facing four felonies including distribution of marijuana and possession of cocaine.

Greene County deputies say they collected 10.5 pounds of marijuana, powder cocaine, two guns and about $33,000 dollars from where Shifflett lives along the 400 block of Windsong Road.

Shifflett is being held without bond at the Central Virginia Regional Jail.

GREENE COUNTY, Va. – The Greene County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Investigators, along with DEA, FBI and the Greene County SWAT Team served a search warrant at 485 Windsong Road located off Toms Road in Barboursville yesterday evening yielding a significant seizure and arrest of one individual. 

Major Randall Snead reports that Floyde Dwayne Shifflett, a 30 year old male who resides at that location was taken into custody without incident.  Mr. Shifflett has been charged with 4 felonies, they are:

                                    18.2-248.1         Distribution of Marijuana

                                    18.2-248.1         Manufacture of Marijuana

                                    18.2-248            Possession of Cocaine

                                    18.2-308.4         Possession of firearm w/schedule I or II drugs 

Recovered and or seized from the execution of the search warrant was approximately 10.5 pounds of marijuana, 6 marijuana plants, 2.1 ounces of powder cocaine, 2 bottles of medical cannabis tincture, 9mm handgun, .22 caliber AR15 rifle, 5 vehicles and $33,710 in U.S. Currency.  Also seized were numerous narcotics paraphernalia items used for both marijuana and cocaine. 

The investigation is on-going with the possibility of more property seizures and arrests to come.  Mr. Shifflett is being held currently without bond at the Central Virginia Regional Jail with a bond hearing schedule for this morning in the Greene County General District Court at 9am.
