Hundreds packed Lee Park in Charlottesville Saturday for the 15th annual Vegetarian Festival.
Dozens of vendors showcased vegetarian and vegan cuisine as well as products and services that promote a green lifestyle. Cats and dogs were also up for adoption.
The festival aims to get more people to try out the vegetarian lifestyle, one meal at a time.
"Every Monday, take it upon yourself to figure out how to cook a vegetarian meal. Go on the web, look for a recipe, and cook something new and interesting for yourself and discover how delicious it can be without the meat," said Vegetarian Festival Co-Coordinator Greg Harper.
New this year, organizers partnered with the Southern Music Hall to offer live music. Six different bands performed as part of the festival.
