Charlottesville nonprofit Computers4Kids is celebrating 10 years of success with its largest graduating class to date.
Monday night, 43 at-risk middle and high school students graduated, after having completed two in-depth technology projects and meeting once a week with a volunteer mentor.
Robert Williams, the keynote speaker at Monday's event, graduated in Computers4Kids' first class, and he says the program taught him to work hard to achieve goals.
"One thing I definitely pointed out and want them to take is that they need not to be their own worst enemy and regardless of struggles or situation you may have, you will always be able to persevere and go forth with anything you want to do," he said.
Williams is currently a graduate student at Howard University in Washington, D.C.
