A housing report out Thursday from logistics firm CoreLogic shows foreclosures in the Charlottesville area are on the rise. In June, it inched towards 1 percent.
While that's up almost a quarter percent from this same time last year, the Charlottesville rate is lower than the national foreclosure rate, which sits right now at 4.5 percent.
The report also says homeowners are doing a good job of keeping up with their house payments. The local mortgage delinquency rate is over 2.5 percent, down from what it was at this time last year.
