Some Polling Locations Changing in Charlottesville

Posted: Updated:

Big changes are on the horizon for Charlottesville voters. Following a round of redistricting, the voter registrar's office has been busy notifying voters about any changes in polling locations.

The major one is the Carver Precinct. The polling place has temporarily moved from the Carver Recreation Center to the Virginia Institute for Autism on Westwood Road.

Charlottesville Voter Registrar Sheri Iachetta said, "It's just been challenging. It's been a slow process cause you can't do it fast. You have to work with the state. Anytime you work with the state, it's a slow process."

A marketing blitz will be getting underway next week. The voter registrar says she will also send out letters to those affected along with a detailed map.
