The young man accused of murdering a baby in Albemarle County last May was in court Monday, but his case remains at a stand-still.
Ramon Turley, 18, is facing a second degree murder charge in the death of 1-year-old Camora Wicks. This May Camora Wicks was found unresponsive in her mother's apartment. She was pronounced dead later that morning at the University of Virginia Medical Center. Camora's mother reportedly shared the apartment with Turley.
Monday Turley was in court for a preliminary hearing but it has been continued because the autopsy on Camora has not been finalized or returned to the commonwealth's attorney. On August 22, there will be another check on the status of the autopsy, if it is back then a preliminary hearing will be re-scheduled for sometime in September.
