Crozet Boy Scout Builds Bridge for Runners

A Crozet Boy Scout is on his way to the rank of Eagle Scout, combining his love for cross country and the outdoors by building a new bridge near Western Albemarle High School. 

Will Rogers is building a bridge on a new series of cross country trails in Crozet, combining his passion for running with his quest for scouting's highest honor. And with help from his coach and teammates, it's becoming a reality.

"I knew I'd also be able to pull on the cross country team for help. And that way we'd be able to get everybody to help build a bridge that they would eventually run and race on," he said. 

Rogers isn't the only Western Albemarle cross country runner in line to reach the eagle rank. Other scouts on the team also have plans to improve the course and build bridges along
